Although some symptoms are similar, a key difference between POTS and IST is heart rate.
Individuals with POTS typically have a resting heart rate of 90 bpm or less. People with IST have a resting heart rate usually greater than 100 bpm.
The HEAL-IST Trial is actively seeking participants with symptomatic IST and who are also resistant or intolerant to medications.
