Today at <a href='https://www.linkedin.com/feed/hashtag/?keywords=ITSOS2024&highlightedUp…; target='_blank'>#ITSOS2024</a>, Dr. Daniel Miller presented the cost benefits of Cryo Nerve Block (ablation) for post-op pain management during surgical lobectomy.​

In a retrospective analysis sponsored by AtriCure, Cryo Nerve Block patients demonstrated:​

- $5,221 lower index admission costs compared to non-cryo patients, driven by a lower hospital length of stay. ​

- Less opioids after 90 days (p=0.03), leading to an even larger healthcare cost savings of $8,601 compared to non-cryo patients at 6 months post-surgery.​
