AtriCure is committed to providing the most recent and relevant education. We recognize the importance of this material as a key component in giving the HealthCare Provider (HCP) access to the knowledge and experience required to assure optimal safety and outcomes in the atrial fibrillation patient population. This section contains educational materials and activities intended to enhance the user’s experience.
The program is either led by a faculty of an Electrophysiologist and a Cardiac surgeon, or AtriCure's Professional Education team. The comprehensive program includes both didactic sessions and the opportunity to perform the procedure on a beating heart simulation training model. The specialized curriculum is designed to facilitate data and experience exchange, providing peer-to-peer led training that incorporates patient selection, pre-and post-operative management, the latest clinical evidence, and procedural techniques.
At the end of this program, you will be able to discuss how to start a Hybrid AF Therapy Program at your hospital and how to proceed with your first scheduled cases. Trainers will share best practices and explain how to improve procedural efficiency and clinical efficacy. At the end of the course, you’ll be able to discuss upcoming cases with a trainer to identify the right strategy for your patients.
Attendees should consist of a team of Cardiac Surgeon and Electrophysiologist. This program focuses on the rationale, safety, and efficacy of performing Hybrid AF Therapy with the EPi-Sense device. Attendee interaction, sharing of anecdotal experience and observations, and group discussion is highly encouraged.

Connect for 1.5 hours virtually with faculty experts. This program is an introduction to the Hybrid AF Convergent ablation technique, how to start the program, patient selection, best practices, and LAA management. It includes engaging presentations and discussions with the faculty. This program is designed for Electrophysiologists and Cardiac surgeons interested in the collaborative hybrid approach to treating patients with advanced atrial fibrillation. Attendees should consist of a team of Cardiac surgeon and Electrophysiologist.
This one-day program allows healthcare professionals to observe 1-2 live cases in various locations depending on the ablation technique that they are interested in learning. AtriCure recognizes the importance to observe, having discussions about the specific ablation strategy with practitioners from hospitals with extensive experience, learn about best patient selection and follow-up. In the majority of the training centers, attendees are able to scrub in. Please note that some training centers will only be able to accommodate two attendees at a time. This restriction is due to the importance of observation during clinical cases and hospital regulations.
This is a one-day program with two cases scheduled. Please contact your AtriCure representative three weeks prior to the scheduled case so an appropriate Proctor can be assigned.
