10–20% of CABG patients have Afib, yet CABG has the lowest rate of surgical ablation—leaving many patients undertreated.
The impact?
Increased stroke risk and reduced long-term survival.
Join us for an upcoming workshop designed for advanced practice providers, PAs, RNs and NPs to explore patient selection, procedural techniques, care team collaboration, and more.

Individuals with symptomatic IST typically have heart rates greater than 100 bpm even with minimal activity. For those who don’t respond to medications, the HEAL-IST clinical trial is evaluating a new hybrid ablation procedure as a potential treatment. Learn more:
Individuals with symptomatic IST typically have heart rates greater than 100 beats per minute even with minimal activity.
The HEAL-IST Trial is currently enrolling patients to evaluate whether a hybrid sinus node sparing procedure is a safe and effective treatment option for symptomatic and drug-resistant IST patients.

Dr. Richard Whitlock, the principal investigator of the LAAOS III trial, emphasized that his preferred method to achieve left atrial appendage exclusion is surgical occlusion during cardiac surgery in patients with atrial fibrillation who are at risk of stroke.
The LAAOS III trial demonstrated that prophylactic LAA occlusion during heart surgery significantly reduces the long-term risk of stroke in patients with AF.
